YOUR VIENNA TOURS
Discover the city, its history and stories.
I look forward to showing you around my Vienna.
Small is beautiful too
We are allowed tours with a maximum of 5 guests from one household. I would then be the allowed sixth from the second household. This completes the maximum possible number.
Except for these small groups, the current Covid-19 regulations do not allow us Viennese guides to conduct any other tours at the moment.
As difficult as this situation is, I understand and support this measure. Only together can we make it through this time. All the more I am looking forward to welcoming you in a few weeks at one – or more – of my guided tours.
Of course, I’ll be happy to take your inquiries in the meantime.

Costs | EUR 23 per adult (min. 3 guests) EUR 10 per child under 12 years 9 persons or more group price EUR 200 |

COURT SUPPLIERS & OTHER STORES
From Aida to Zacherl – on the tracks of traditional Viennese companies in the 1st district.
Between all thecity centers international chains, designer boutiques and souvenir stores we look for and find traces of the “good old business-times”. Where people shop in the Steffl departement store today, there was once a shopping temple designed by Otto Wagner. And not far from there you could find the “most Parisian of all department stores in the world”.
A few traditional companies still exist. Others are now history. On this walk we will bring them back to life a little bit.

MEMORIALS AT THE CENTRAL CEMETERY
Big tragedies and the small drama
Vienna’s largest cemetery also reminds us of the great tragedies of Austrian history. Our tour takes us to memorial sites such as the National Memorial to the Victims for a Free Austria and the February Fighters Memorial. But we also visit places of remembrance on a smaller scale: cemeteries of different religious communities, anatomy graves, forest cemetery… A walk around the central cemetery away from the graves of honour.
Please note, the memorials tour takes about 3 hours.

MY SIMMERING
Community buildings, football stars and the last executioner of Vienna
The 11th district of Vienna is probably not the first choice for visitors to Vienna. But this former suburb offers a long and interesting history. As one of the centres of Red Vienna fought over in the interwar period, the district is now a popular residential area.
If you would like to see Vienna off the beaten tourist track, I look forward to showing you the Simmering where I grew up.
